Employed by SimbaNET(T) ltd as a Network and System Administrator serving over 1000 goverment and nongoverment organisations from Banks to Minstries,Health Institutes and academic institutes,

1.Configuration and installation of various Vsat transmit and receive modems, routers and wireless devices.
2.Troubleshooting the customer’s Network connectivity from customer’s point of access to upstream internet gateway.
3.Troubleshooting Customer LAN connectivity to local servers and servers on the WAN such as Mail servers and DNS Servers’.
4.Troubleshooting customer domain or hosting issues and escalating to the right team member if necessary.
5.	Advising customer on how to troubleshoot and resolve LAN related problems
6.	Identifying repeated problems or patterns, on customer links as well as on simbanet core link, which can result in poor connectivity.
7.	Maintaining Customer monitoring tools such as Mrtg, Cacti or ALLOT utilization graphs and ensuring these are updated with each network change.
8.	Carrying out tasks assigned by senior team members as per assignment and updating as necessary.
9.	Maintaining customer records for temporal/permanent; upgrade, downgrade, disconnection, reconnection, running configuration.
10.	Monitoring SimbaNET Servers and core link to ensure these are up.
11.Visiting various corporate customers to resolve various networking problems
12.Updating  TT For the call reporting procedures from various customers 
13.	Administering mail servers, performing backups, checking error logs and configurations

In our organization ,we are using Windows OS For workstations and Linux for most of the servers,We  USE CISCO ios and Juniper ios,Our organisation we have a STM1 connection from Seacom,We have SAF and Fibre Backhauls as well as VSAT connectivity to remote areas,we use IDIRECT modems for VSAT,Aperto Wimax BSS AND CPE'S.
Our country is connected to the international internet via international fibre backbone  and Upstream satellite providers.
